Speaking of colours, one of my maples is putting on a show.
It is much more vivid than the photo shows though.

The Blue Mountains is a long collection of villages along the Great Western Highway which is surrounded by National Park. Although I live in a regular subdivision on 1/4 acre block I have 3 waterfalls within 20 minutes walk one after another.

Here is my favourite. You can walk around behind the waterfall.

I was on my hands and knees cleaning out the hole where the gate pole goes and not paying attention to her. She gently pecked me on the head and I looked up at just the right time for the second peck to land in the white of my eye. No vision problems from it, but it did hurt a lot.

Beautiful color

Ouch! I can't imagine how much that hurt.

I'm going to have to find a name for her. She's survived and she's a bit of a nutter much like her mum.

That it gorgeous! We tried to grow some up here ~ with no success. The colours are just amazing.
