Good evening folks Sue has been transferred to rehab.


I'm working 7-9 and doing cleanup at 5 when I get home, if I feel like it. Haven't for several days, just tired. Yesterday was even more special... I spent about 30 minutes on I-40 blind as a bat due to rain. 30mph and just followed the flashing lights of the truck in front of me. Rain was so hard, I couldn't see the lines on the road or the truck in front of me. Lots of standing water on the road and huge wind gusts. More than once, I hydroplaned into a different lane. Oh and for added joy, there was no take out food available when I got off the highway because they lost power. Thankfully, my company sent me a meat and cheese basket and that became dinner. I haven't been able to bring myself to cook since this all began.

Hydroplaning is awful. Do take care of yourself. It is so important you take care of yourself because Sue needs you well & healthy! Fantastic news that she's now in rehab! Give her our love.

So beautiful. Is that field yours? Amazing.

We have about half an acre. We live at the end of a dead end street. The Jewish school own the property behind us and a farmer owns the woods beside us. We only have 1 direct neighbor.

Last summer we had a problem with them complaining about the chickens wondering into their yard so I could not let them out. We got a new neighbor this spring. She a very sweet older lady who loves the chickens and the rest of our crazy crew!

Something in the 14 kg range would be cool (even converted to metric for you LOL)
Though a trip to the vet would be challenging. Getting a regular tabby into the carrier was quite the challenge.

I had to take 7 lb Isabel in the broody crate last time she went to the vet. That was weird. She was so tiny in there.

Shad has a forthright, make-no-bones-about-it way of expressing himself that seems very Scottish to me...

That might just be it.

Oh, my gosh! I think my Wyandottes have finally started laying. Such a tiny, clean, shiny little brown egg was in the nest with the others! Probably Alpia. Such a good little chickie.

My phone thinks it writes sensible English!!! Edited!

Am I really that blunt?
I do try not to offend but the cultural differences between certain parts of the USA and my Scottish attitude exacerbated by the Catalonian very blunt style of speech, means as soon as I open my mouth I've upset someone here on BYC it seems. My sense of humour seems to cause some outrage as well.
The Catalans are even less tactful and polite than the Scotts!

I've never had any issues with any thing or any way that you have posted. You are a wealth of knowledge and I'm thankful when you share it.

So you took forthright and changed it to blunt. I think that answers your own question.

It is funny once you learn a little about someone, even through posts on a chicken web site, how you can accept them as they are. Your posts never offend me. I am not upset by either what you say or how you say it. That is you. And I appreciate who you are.
