Ribh's D'Coopage

Suyin has me guessing.
Not a sight nor a sign of the staggers since she went into isolation.
She's actually looking pretty good.
I will have a better idea when I put her to bed tonight.
I think not having to compete for food has been a good thing. She actually looks like she has put on a tiny little bit of weight & her food dish was empty when I fed everyone this afternoon. She doesn't eat a lot @ any one time but grazes the whole day.

Her poops are looking better ~ not solid but a vast improvement on the watery jet she was ejecting yesterday.

She was allowed into the run for a change of scenery & a dust bath after everyone else went back in the coop ~ not hard because I had cleaned. I don't know what they think happens when I clean but it's like they expect me to have done major renovations & every last corner has to be inspected & approved.

You may be right @BY Bob. Perhaps she ate something that disagreed with her.:idunno

I'm so glad that she has improved & I hope she continues to! 💞

The rest of the flock is looking good.
Healthy.

Good evening everyone 🙂

For those who've never seen them, these flowers are Australian Christmas bells.
In their natural environment they only flower well after fire & I haven't seen them growing wild since I was a child.
They are being cultivated commercially so not extinct yet.

Such a lovely group of birds ❤ they look so happy 😊

I'm not sure if I have a knack of choosing loopy~loop animals or they become that way over time but this is what greets me round about *coop lock~up time*. The girls know & they gather @ the back door & eyeball me with guilt trips.View attachment 1695813
You didn't have a rooster then, did you?

Kirby will bring me the bigger birds like a spaniel; soft mouth & gentle. The little ones he kills if I don't nab him. And I've had to rescue little field mice tucked up under his chin. I can't abide them crying. :(

Sadly this dry is part of our *El Nino* cycle. We are an inconsistent country. Down south is burning out of control. Up north has flooded. We have a cyclone forming. Parts of the country are in severe drought. Parts are freezing ~ & all in less area than you guys have.... I think. Matter of a couple thousand extra miles.
Our drought has just broken. They say this year is la Niña.
