It's very touristy, high rise & full of clubs & casinos. Nothing for me there BUT...we went to a convention there last year & found this really good restaurant & we've been waiting on a special occasion to have an excuse to go back. 
Yeah, I'm not into big crowded areas either...give me the boonies any day! Enjoy your special occasion and I hope the food is as good as you remember!I actually don't like the Gold Coast.
