Make no mistake, (I would love another Rocks-Anne or two)Rocks-Anne is on that egg she laid today, (Like a cheap suit) She want's to be a mamma so bad. But she's just not a dedicated broody, and never was.

Really!? I thought she laid dimpled eggs! Those others are golf balls
Very nice. Impressive.
I did not. That is a fascinating fact. But did you know, that you could walk the perimeter of old city Jerusalem in 3/4 of a day, without pushing yourself?
Mrs BY Bob and I also went out for lunch. What is going on!We're going out for lunch today too, but not anywhere near as beautiful sounding as the Gold Coast! Enjoy your lunch date!
Really!? I thought she laid dimpled eggs!
You have such a cute flock. Are both the gold and silver ones Campines?Yesterday's corn scavenger hunt.
It has been wet, cold & stormy the past few days.
I've been letting them out early & shutting them in earlier than normal to beat the storm fronts coming through.
This morning they are yelling blue murder because I haven't let them out yet...

Yikes! Good thing you checked!
I went out after the storm had passed to check all my girls were roosting. Wrold wasn't.
I went & grabbed her & put her up on a roost & suddenly noticed she has denuded herself of all her underneath feathers. As I peered closer I noticed a white blob under her wattle...
Another tick! I couldn't leave her like that overnight so in she came & didn't she make a kerfuffle! She really doesn't like the cats! Squwark! Squwark! She was loud. She was noisy. She was voluble. Her head kept swinging round to keep Kirby in sight while she screamed @ him, @ me, @ the complete indignity of the whole affair ~ all while I was trying to slather her with black ointment & hold onto her long enough for it to work.

And the worst of it ~ not 1 but 2 ticks embedded under her wattle: a paralysis tick & a bush tick. I always check to make sure I've got the head so when I could still see something I wielded my tweezers yet again ~ & again.
She is slathered in black ointment just in case I missed any bits & back on a roost! So offended she scrambled onto the top roost! Gosh how I hate ticks!
