This i do not understand. At least one egg should be a requirement. It makes no sense.
Lucy has stopped laying again but will still hog a nest.

Love this Sue!Here's the link for today's moon that I told you about
You should try it Kat! There are some really beautiful patterns available in both knitting and crocheting! The project I'm working on requires both. Knitting for the blanket & crocheting for the baby sea turtles & maybe a few starfish!Me too, Ladies. I have carpal tunnel and I had to quit playing the guitar. After about 15 minutes both my hands would hurt and be completely numb!
It bothers me when I am driving too.
Still, I would like to try knitting, and crocheting I think.
I need a better camera! Those are beautiful Kat!Well, Hubby and I sat out last night with a nice campfire, and I took a few moon-shots too!
It was a perfect Halloween Moon!

So beautiful!Mother Nature put on a sky show here tonight. The weather is clearing after another day filled with rain. Here's the end of the rain coming through right before sundown.

Add the rain reached the house, the sun broke through and illuminated the trees, then the double rainbow showed up. I hope you can see it in these photos. There second rainbow is faint.

They are always an adventureThe girls started early this morning with what I call their *whingey* voices.
Luna & Ha'penny were particularly... vocal.
Mhari was bok~bokking pathetically in the little coop.
Given our weather I let everyone into the run early.
The only one who didn't stay there was Ha'penny.
She was so noisy I went out to see what was going on to find her screaming about the shut gate [to keep Mhari away from the nesting boxes] so I let her in & left her screaming blue murder about everyone else being in the run.We got about 10 minutes peace when she finally went to lay her egg then she was back @ it & most of the flock joined in. The neighbours must have loved it ~ but then they always have yappy dogs & my girls are usually fairly quiet.
Even dinner was a noisy affair.

There are 4 feeding stations & you would think that would be enough for everybody but once Wrold & Morrigu have actually climbed into a tub there's no room for anybody else!
Ha'penny has taken to trying to scratch the crumble out of my hand ~ which is terribly funny to watch because my hand is quite high & her foot is waggling round in thin air.

They are still at it. I don't know what's stuck in their craw today but they are complaining about it. A lot!
She was definitely telling me to go away...she likes her privacy...it's actually a fun sound!I’m wondering if the broody trill is the hen saying “Go away!”? I heard Charlie trill at Tegan when she entered the house at bedtime and she’s not broody at the moment.
It's a good place to take a load off & have a nap!Lucy has stopped laying again but will still hog a nest.
