Ribh's D'Coopage

Good morning folks :frow

Jeannie, I think my work for the year is DONE! That's a good and bad news story... It just means I have to get 3 days work done the first of next week.:th
It just never ends does it.

Try not to think about it and enjoy the time off. It's all you can do. :hugs

I don't seem able to catch a break @ present. Partly I know its because I run a slightly larger flock than most so the chances of things going wrong are a little higher but this is getting ridiculous!

I've never seen anything like this before.
There was a broken thin shelled egg with it so I'm guessing the brownish stuff was discoloured yolk. It had that sort of consistency. I also suspect it is Patricia. It was under where she roosts & the hens on either side of her last night I know are laying & pooping normally. I'm really hoping this isn't another flock drama.

I have started the worming treatment. I managed Soda & Patricia before the rain moved in again so this may take a few days to complete.

What do you all think?

I have never seen this. I would post over on the illness thread. It's definitely not right. Sorry I don't know more.

I was going to ask about the Campines...I hope some come available for you...I know how much you love them. Maybe you could get one Vorwerk & one of a breed that you prefer! My husband doesn't have a say...🤣 JK, if he had a particular chicken he wanted I would get it for him! 💗
Phyllis is only here because Mrs BY Bob insisted. I'm glad she did.

Is this a new garden bed Shad? It's perfect for the chickens.
It's not new. It's one of the favourite dustbathing spots because that area get watered fairly regularly so on the right days the soil is just a bit moist and they love it.

At a guess I would say she had an egg stuck and it partly developed while in the oviduct. Hard to tell from the picture.
