Last night the girls managed to get 15 on the top rail! 15!
No~one could comfortably turn round & the slightest movement caused a great flurry & squawking. The Littlies managed to squeeze everyone into about 1 foot of space & were budging for no~one!

Wrold was in a nesting box & couldn't care less. Tonight she is in broody jail. Again.

Soda was the one who missed out. She was late to roost & is waaay too big to squidgy into any of the tiny spaces available to her. Beatha, who is streamlined, managed to nab a late place with a lot of flurry & protesting.

I think the whole lot are stark raving.

I've tried several times using different methods but I really have no ear & found it incredibly difficult. I have a smattering of words/phrases I can recognise written but so far that's about it. How do you find Duolingo?

I really like it, I started using it for Italian. I tried Rosetta Stone that @BY Bob uses, but you can only do so much before you have to pay for it. I don’t know which phone you use, but you should be able to find it in your preferred App Store. (Apologies for any typos; I’ve got contacts in and they’re making me long-sighted).

Scottish~ as it's the language of our ancestors.

I just realised we’ve had a discussion before about Gaelic... I must be tired.

It’s an incredibly difficult language to start learning as an adult, most words bear absolutely no relation to English, except maybe ‘cat’. The only reason I remember mòr and beag is that I did a presentation on bagpipes for uni and I remember Ceòl Mòr is ‘big music’ and Ceòl Beag is ‘small music’.

Josh update!! He's 4 weeks post-op and doing great! His left leg is perfect and just needs to grow fur back, which he's working on.

His right leg is good, but his incision just opened a little. He not limping and doesn't appear to be in pain. The rescue is calling his doctor tomorrow and see if we need to do anything different.
