OK. I did my best. There is a cat but he didn’t want to go up on the wall.
When I added two new cats from the shelter they were so terrified of everything (i think they were probably feral) that they used to hide in the big boxes up by the ceiling.
They were both really sick and the girl died but her brother is now a huge black boy who has no need to hide from anything so prefers to sprawl in the sofa and snore. He would go up there if I asked but he needs his beauty sleep.

That is so cool! It's very clever adding the carpet to the outside face of the hiding box for scratching purposes.

I seriously would not have thought of that on my own!
I could put decoy books to attract the cats back up there.

All the books you didn't like but haven't got around to getting rid of.

They are really moveable and as such could be quickly reorganized. Then the cats could not reach your books! Irony right. They are not using the shelves because they want to eat your books. You use the shelves to move the books away from them!
