It's really hard even with something to compare it to. It's only as long as the bottom joint of a finger & only that wide.

Here you go. Not a thing of beauty! But it works and you can see the ripples.
They are intrigued by the movement of the water and mostly lap it off the little ramp. Sometimes they drink directly from the bowl.
I have it on that green tray in case of spills. When I first got it I had a cat that liked to try and catch the water on the ramp with his paws which caused some splashes but that doesn’t reallly happen any more

Probably. They usually do but I haven't cracked it yet.

We had to buy something similar for DD1's cat. He would whack the water dish to make the water move so he could see it (I guess). Made a lot of mess. He is fine with the "fountain", we put it on a plastic dish for "just in case" spills.

The meds make her a bit unsteady and she’s now being a bit naughty and jumping up on things like the heater, the bin etc in a bid to get on the bench where the food is prepped… She’s going to slip off and hurt herself!
