Indeed. I'd rather they went early than late.I guess it's a good thing in terms of the seasons. They might be warmer in winter?

Good to know! I am hoping for an early winter. The heat & humidity has been dreadful the past few days.In the other hemisphere... I've seen several people noting that moulting started early for their chickens this year. People were pondering if it had to do with the climate, if chickens somehow knew winter would be cold....
I had one hen begin in August but it was later for the others.
I’ve got a couple of beautiful cockerels you can have. They were having a crow-off this morning! The produce store had day old chicks when I stopped in today. I was busily admiring some super gorgeous D'Uccle X chicks when it occurred to me the ones I was really taken with were probably cockerels!
Oh, Lozzy! I'm sorry.I'm not allowed them but these little fellas were absolutely gorgeous! Good thing I'm @ my chicken limit.I’ve got a couple of beautiful cockerels you can have. They were having a crow-off this morning!
That's so pretty ❤Gathering storm @ sunset. Hope it breaks the heat stranglehold.
