Lovely Leonard.Leonard on duty.

Leonard has settled beautifully. The girls have accepted him & he is not people adverse. He's fantastic with me & has never even looked like he might become aggressive. I am stoked having read all the rooster horror stories. I have been blessed to have had easy integrations after my first one. Sweetpea is still paralysed. I'm crating her @ night but allowing her out with everyone during the day. This is allowing me to medicate her & ensuring she has access to food & water while, hopefully, ensuring she doesn't have to reintegrate into the tribe.Given you've not written different I assume Leonard has settled in with your bunch of nutters and dusters rather well. I'm seriously pleased if it is the case. I'm faced with the possibility of introducing a new male to the field hens now Henry is dead.
I've not had to do this in confined conditions before and I'm quite anxious about the prospect.
Nice to hear this. A particular male? From a friend you have visited lately?I'm faced with the possibility of introducing a new male to the field hens now Henry is dead.
