In the Brooder
I have 6 4 week old GLW pullets (well, one is silver but it was supposed to be a golden, lol) and, although they were my first chickens EVER, they were so easy to tame. Now they get excited when i walk into their brooder room, jump up on my hands and arms, fight each other for my attention.. they adore me! But i just hatched out 4 silkies and a bantam mix and they HATE me. Im doing everything exactly the same.. talking quietly, moving slowly, offering treats (baby cake), not coming at them from above, trying to very lightly pet them while theyre still in the brooder.. EVERYTHING! Im honestly being easier and slower with these guys than i was with the goldens and nothing is working. They squeal like im killing them any time i come nearß
