I have had three guinea hens nesting together under a low hanging pine branch in our windbreak in our backyard. There were about 40 eggs altogether. This morning, after I feed everyone I went to peak at the nest I noticed only 12 eggs. I was shocked!!!
But when the moms came back from eating and drink I saw that they had split their eggs up and two hens moved them further under the branch, about three feet away. Now they have two nests. I don't know if they got in an argument over night or what, but they seem to have needed space!!! Lol
