I need info on a used 1999 Dodge Truck.
It has about 68,000 miles, but was rebuilt at 163,000. There is something wrong with the door that catches it to close it, but no problem my grandpa could prob fix it & it needs two back tires, but the guy who is selling it has them & will give them to me. He is asking $1,600. I talked him down to that. He's a good friend of mine & I trust him, but I wanna know someone else's opinion. Any info will help!
Thanks!

It's a 318 engine, whatever that means.

While I have no recent experience the 318 cid engine used to be really reliable, a real anvil.

Not super fast, but a wide torque band and smooth. Around here that would be a good price.

Does anyone know the difference between an engine between that has been rebuilt than a new engine? If so, which one if better Sorry I know nothing about vehicles. Lol

Rebuilt is what it sounds like. Its taken apart an put back together with all the worn parts replaced. Assuming it is done right it is pretty much a new engine at that point.

It is not all new though but live expectancy should be about the same as a new one. Its also about $8,000 cheaper than a new engine.
