Ring of death?

I'm new to chickens, but that "ring of death" thing you mentioned intrigued me so I Googled.

It seems the ring goes around circumference of egg...

I noticed that too but I have seen other pics with the ring where mine is.

I have two eggs with the blood ring and one is a lot larger than the other. The picture I shared is the smaller ring.

I figured. Thanks! I cracked the two open and the ring was very interesting to look at. No chick in both of them.
