Just got 5 ringneck chicks 3 days ago 1 die the first day the 4 seem to be doing good didn't know they need so much space Thanks for all the info

those are platinum ringnecks different than a pure bred ringneck but still very close. and just a suggestion if you go bigger on your next hatch use a round brooding area as in a square larger numbers of chicks pile and smother smaller chicks

We hatched 2 Ringneck pheasants this summer on July 1st. One turned out to be a female and the other a male. For several weeks the male was the dominate. One night about two weeks ago we noticed a small cut on the males nose. We dismissed it as nothing important. A few days later the we checked on them again b4 heading to bed and the male was in seriously injured. The female made a death blow for his head. He lost ALL the feathers on his head and and we had to clean it out. We seperated them and the his feathers are growing back.

Should we keep them seperated? Is it safe to put them back together? It was a very bad blow to the head.

I would put a blinder on the hen, that will cut down some of her aggression.

2.do the females have green heads?
3.do they mix well with chickens?
4. would alone bird be alright?
5. can ikeep them in with the chickens?
