RIP Chirpie, Marigold, Cookie, and Milkshake.

Lost my Mahalia back in January. https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/keyword-in-moderation.76335/ She was a sweet little dork.

Almost lost my favorite hen Peebles to a possum a couple weeks back.

Thank God I got outside fast enough. She didn't make it into the coop before the Autodoor shut and a possum took his chances. He ripped out almost all of her crop feathers and some tail feathers, but she was okay.

Awww! She did look sweet! Wow! That’s great that you saved her life!

I’m sure you tried your best. I know it’s the worst when it doesn’t work out the way we hope. She was loved and I’m sure she loved you. She may not be here anymore, but the memories and good times you had with her will stay with you forever. Keep her in your heart and hope to see her again one day. That’s what I told myself when I lost Baby Margo. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you peanut! I’m sure she’s having a great time though wherever she is and that makes me smile. I cried a lot but I feel better now.Thank you for replying.

This little guy passed away a couple days ago. Unknown cause. Why is it always the special ones which go? He had really bonded with me.
