Laying: Layed jumbo eggs for 3 months, then stopped.
Died from: Tumor in throat, blocking airway
Info: She was completely blind, and was rescued from a 4x4 pen with 15 other chickens in it. She lived with us for almost a year. She always came running when I called, even if it meant she fell over or tripped on the way. She loved to be held and cuddled, and that whiney, lovable sound that came from her throat...... I miss you Hazel, and always will.

Obit: The only chick we've ever lost to a predetor. She didn't return to the coop one night, next morning we found only a pile of feathers. Such a sweet pullet, but always a bit wild! I would have loved to see her grow up, she was the beauty of the coop.

Died From: Unknown causes. Was totally healthy the day before when this picture was taken. The next morning I found her on the coop floor she had passed away. Her death date was 4/29/10.
Obit: I still miss her so much she was so big and fluffy and would let me carry her around everywhere. She was my sweet angel. RIP Big Momma I love you!

Ive Ran Out Of Tears

Growing up I have ran out of tears.
I have ran out because of so many fears
All my loved ones dying within those years
I can hear them all,still voices ringing in my ears

They have passed on,no more pain they are in
This world was enough,then end..fin
to paradise or heaven they did win
then end of all things,of flesh,of grief,of sin

I often wonder when would be my turn
to leave this place,to began a new learn
or come back here to live again,to return
to live this life again,in agony and burn

I lost a friend today but i didnt cry
she was so friendly,but she did die
its a little lonelier in this place
But no tear has rolled off my face
Goodbye Baby, you I'll never replace
And your face I'll never erase
And where you will go you will fly
Look,there are tears .......I did cry.

Obit: she was my favorite chick out of 15 of them, she was soo sweet, loved all people, she was very playful and adventureous

Age: 1 year and a half

Died from: stoat or weasel
Obit: she was my broody girl, she came into the flock by her self and was low in pecking order but started getting her self up she got her self fourth out of 12 but then went to hens one day couldnt find her then saw her wedged under a fence (by the looks of it her escape plan) with her head gone

orbit: she was also a broody girl her best friend died in july and she was rather lonley went to my hens after getting out of hospital couldnt find her but then saw feathers and thaught oh no so i stepped out on the run (they can get out them selfs to its just were there sheds are) and found a huge patch of feathers then a trail going down and down the feild until i got to the stream and there she was dead blood all over her back with a chunk taken out, im so proud of her i thaught she would have just sat down and died but by how far she got im so proud she put up a fight!

Died: She got out of the brooder to come sleep with me, when I was sleeping I rolled over on top of her

Obit: Very, very loving. She was my favourite animal I have ever had. She was my baby and I loved her very much. I still can't believe she is gone.
