Did he say the cross was Minorca and Brahma?
I guess bigger breasts and no flying is a nice benefit, but no wings is just weird!

I think that's what they said....and that the wings and toes were a genetic thing.
Betting it was a fluke and they couldn't replicate it long term?

I thought they said the breast development was slightly less because of the lack of wings? I may have heard it wrong.

Lol they seem kinda scrawny and tubular to me is the only reason I thought it!

I thought I heard that too...and it makes sense, no wings to flap those muscles don't get worked.

Okay listened again and it says

“But to the layman they represent so much meat. The absence of the wing bone allows for more. But this is counterbalanced by underdevelopment of the breast. Net result? About half a pound lighter than an ordinary chicken.”

The Minorca and Brahma part was right though and the no flying.

It also says “Experts say that they have no inclination to fly which perhaps is just as well. Life would be very frustrating if they had. 16 inches of wire netting is enough to keep them in instead of the usual 6 feet.”

Yeah exactly!! That’s what I thought and I just listened again and I’m pretty sure they said that or similar.
