Bird died. No dead rats in the traps I set. I strongly suspect there was a cat at fault for this.

Only that my rat traps haven't caught any rats. Granted, time will tell.

I had a rat problem for a while in my aviaries. I tried using rat traps, but never caught anything. Rats a a lot more cautious than mice, so are harder to trap.
