18wk RIR. what do you think? (please say hen!)
Tail and wing tips are very round. Legs are the same size as my other hens but they're different breeds. I was worried today because it looks like she's getting these shiny feathers that are a bit darker around her neck. Her tail feathers have also grown in dark.

thats a pullet if it was a cockerel you would see pointed saddles and hackles by now

She's a pullet for sure.

If the shiny feathers around her neck were also very narrow and pointed, then they would indicated a cockerel, as would similarly shaped feathers in the saddle area in front of the tail. The dark tail feathers, even if they are iridescent, are very common in pullets and are not indicative of a cockerel (unless they are long and curved). Keep an eye out for eggs!

Thanks everyone! I was pretty sure she was a pullet but the shiny neck feathers i noticed today made me second guess myself. Woo Hoo!
