RIR chicks with white feather caps?

They look like males to me. RIR that are bred for the trait will produce males with whitish patches on their wings. The patches are there when they hatch. Most people do not know about this sexing method but now you do.

Thank you, Tim. That would make sense, as there are three roosters in the mix.

Will this white go away as they get older?

They should but they will ways be light in "Red" coloring and not as dark as a true well bred Rhode Island Red.
Stress will also cause white feathers in young bird.

Thank you, Chris. You've made it clear what you think of my non "true well bred" feed store chicks.

Update. These are pics of these same guys at abt 8 weeks. All the white has disappeared and the feathers are coming in nice and dark - especially Mr. Bojangles. These aren't the greatest pics, and the flash makes them look lighter, so I will try to get some better pics later.

PS, I also contacted the feed store where I got my chickens and found out that they all came from Mt. Healthy Hatchery. The owner of Weeks Feed only gets the Rhode Island Reds, not the production reds that Mt. Healthy also offers.
