RIR gender??

Gardener, BFB (big fat bummer!) I have a frizzle cochin silkie who is a roo and I am soooo sad! I have to find him a new home. Hopefully you can keep roosters where you are. I am a chicken newbie but have seen lots of posts where people were sure of one sex and turned out to be another though. So good luck.... I'll think pullet thoughts toward you. Do you have pics? Well it has the much shorter tail feathers than the others too so it is looking roo at this time. Well I wont be able to keep him. I dont think the neigbors would like that. I hope to have 2 hens out of this bunch so it will be ok. I dont know if i can get any good photos, camera not so good at close ups.
Ok i got some pics. The first is of what the 3 of 4 RIR look like notice the long tail feathers
THe 2nd and 3rd will be of the what I think is the Roo notice the short tail feathers and and the tiny wattles on the 3rd. I am a newbie too so correct if I am wrong please, But on a 2 and 1/2 week RIR I am thinking if you can see wattles that would be a good clue that it is a roo?

Yes, we originally had a 3rd RIR who looked exactly like your little GUY, short tail feathers and little wattles right up to the light coloring on the wings (not that that matters) and he was definitely a roo and went back to the feed store. Rosey turned out to be a Ross. So with as little as I know about chickens, that really looks like a roo to me, but let the pros weigh in.

That's interesting I wonder if the lighter coloring is common with the roos in this breed.
