RIR is being mean to our other hen

We have 2 hens the same age. The RIR is really being mean to our other hen and she is now afraid to leave the nesting box. Also the RIR stopped laying eggs a few months ago, she is around 2yrs old.

Do I separate them and if so for how long?

When hens won't leave the nestboxes it usually means they are broody, so check your hen. Other hens will fight with a broody so it could be what is going on.
