If anyone has any pictures of the eggs your hens of any of these breeds laid, please post them! I am getting few and wanted to know what colors they lay. I know they all lay brown, but what shades and such? Thanks! and if you want to show your hens as well, that's no problem!

I have a mixed one flock , in my flock is a purebred Australorp and a pure SLW. The aussie lays a nice chocolate brown egg and the SL I nice dark 'tan' egg.

in the pic, top left, Aussie egg, bottom left SL egg.

emjay~ Who lays your buff colored eggs? I had one pop up in my box yesterday, and I don't know who put it there.

ther00ster'scr0w~ My Astralorp also lays lays eggs that look like emjay's top left (a little lighter than my red sexlink).

Our GLWs lay huge, round very light colored eggs - not white but incredibly light.
The SLW lays a M/L brown egg but not as brown as the Delaware.
The BOs lay a glossy rosey brown colored egg.
Then we have the EEs - olive, blue-green, and baby blue

JMPE, the buff colored are from my Buff Orpington/white leghorn cross girls. I have three, and each has their own shade. haha. I know who laid each egg everyday, it's nice to know who's doing what.
