The dad is a rir roo and I don't know which of my hens is the mom....the Easter eggers are out bc the shell they hatched from is brown. I don't think they are from my Australorp, barred rock or rir hen. I'm thinking it's between my Silver Laced Wyandotte or my Buff Orpington.
Anyone know?

those chicks dont look RIR x Buff orp to me... you see RIR and BO are both wheaten meaning they would hatch solid yellow/orange.. this chicks look more like RIR x Silver Laced Wyandotte would not look like them either, this cross RIR vs SLW will produce Sexlinks... The only Easter egger i have that has produced a similar chick in the past has always laid green eggs and the chicks have always hatched out of green eggs. This hen is almost 3 years old and so I find it highly unlikely she randomly lays a brown egg but who knows I guess. My other Easter egger is pure white and lays beautiful blue eggs. I guess I will be able to tell better when they get their feathers in. Thanks for your help.

wyandotte- the chick on the left does not look correct but stuff happens.
