You can also given her mashed hard boiled egg yolk with some plain yogurt to moisten it some, warmed oatmeal etc. The idea is not to overload her digestive system but come up with appealing food she will eat readily. Hope she continue to do well.

I know this is an old thread, but did Goopy the hen pull through??? How's she doing? :-D

Goppy is a healthy happy chicken, but I'm having troubles getting her integrated with our current flock, we have 2 hens and 3 roosters (we had 6 hens but they got killed ): ) we keep one rooster out of the pen he kinda just free roams the yard because the other roosters kicked him out. I've tried to put Goopy in with the flock but the roosters are relentless and they peck her to shreds. I was wondering if any of you guys have any tips of how to get her into the flock safely?

Try putting hoppy in in the flock perch at night. At night is the best time to get them together because they will be all sleeping. While they sleep,they can get used to each other

Glad to see an update on Goopy. If there is a way to temporarily divide your run and coop (we used plastic mesh fencing) so they can 'see but not touch' for a while, that often helps the integration.

I've put her and another hen with our "nice" rooster in another pen together. They are playing nice now, I feel that the hen to rooster ratio is maybe why they can't seem to be nice to her the boys tend to fight over her. We have a very dominant male and a very submissive male (we actually thought he was a girl until he crowed lol) do you thinknow if we raised more females that we could integrate them all with Goopy too?
