Spruce felt embarrassed. He didn't even think about that part. How would he have even been able to drag the prey all the way back? He knew he made a grave mistake. He was getting the feeling Cragan didn't want Spruce in the tribe, and now he just gave him the perfect reason to get him kicked out of the thunder. He was starting to regret his decision. Really, REALLY, regret his decision. At least I know my sister's alive, so that's ONE reason it was a good decision He thought sorta happily. He looked up at Cragan and saw the look of disdain he gave. He sat there silently trying to think of a reason to strengthen his alibi. He had to think of something quick. He knew that his silence was causing more suspicion. " Fine," he said trying a different strategy " you caught me I'm a spy" he told them. " but just because I 'admitted' it doesn't mean it's true" he started feeling anxious and his legs were trembling. He knew that saying this was either gonna help or make it WAY worse. " I'll only tell you what you want to to hear because that's the only thing you'll believe." he said as he felt he was bout to pass out knowing this could ruin his life... so he gave up on trying to save it." So go ahead, tell the rest of the thunder. You all HATE ME ANYWAY!!!" he yelled. He turned and ran as fast as he could to... actually... he didn't know where. He just knew he wanted to be as far away from any other tyrants as possible. I don't need anyone he thought to himself I'll get my sister and we can leave everybody behind. Tears started pouring down his face as he ran.Because of the wind in his ears as he ran, he couldn't hear if they were calling back to him. He also didn't care even though deep down really he did.
Cragan swallowed. He hadn't expected to incite such an outburst. Wait, he is a spy? He'd been expecting the Wetlander to at least attempt to clear himself, give some weak, ambiguous excuse. He wasn't particularly fond of the Wetlanders but he would have at least given him a chance. But even though it was to his disadvantage, Spruce's guilty plea seemed to be a lie.
Arran grimaced, watching Spruce run off before he could try to diffuse the argument.
“Spruce! Wait..” he called halfheartedly, but the green tyrant didn’t seem to hear.

He turned towards Cragan with an expression of pain and sheepishness on his face. “Did you have to be so harsh?” He asked, but the young tyrant had only been putting voice to the thoughts they both shared. Cragan just didn’t have whatever it was that was stopping Arran from saying his thoughts aloud.

He sighed. “What’re we gonna tell the king?”
"Sheesh," said Cragan. "I don't actually think he was a spy. But I guess maybe this proves he wanted to leave."

Spruce knew no one wanted him. He knew no tribe was gonna take him in. He knew he ruined his chance with the Wetlanders and that the Canyon Runners were never gonna accept him, he also knew that there was no chance with the Mountaineers. They were self loving, toad faces. He had no chance with any other tribes. So he headed for the Marshes to find his sister. He was unsure of how he was gonna convince her to join him, but he was at least gonna try.
Zara slipped through the marshes, feeling very excited and secretive. She spotted a Wetlander in the distance, running, blinded by despair. He couldn't know what she was doing so close to the Canyon Runner border.
She quickly waded into a pond and crouched so her body was concealed by the water and only her head was visible. She watched him now and was surprised to observe that he wasn't anybody she knew. I suppose there's no danger in him telling the tribe what I've been up to, then. So curiosity got the better of her, and she stepped back out of the pond, running up to him.
"What is the matter?" she asked him.

Spruce came to a sudden stop at the sight of a blue tyrant. He didn't hear what she said but all he knew was the last time he encountered another Wetlander other than his sister, it wasn't a very welcoming greeting. He stopped and snarled in a crouch-like position. He stood there defensively, for a short moment. " I'm not trying to cross the border! Just Leave me alone! " He yelled and turned heels and ran in the opposite direction. He didn't want to stay long enough to hear the " disgusting traitor " part of this brief converasation. He couldn't stop thinking of all the mistakes he's made in one sun-cycle. His vision was too fogged by the downpour of tears that he didn't see the massive rattlesnake in front of him. He tried to stop but he ended up falling down with the tip of his nose almost touching the venomous creature's noisy tail. It hissed as he stumbled upright, struggling with his undersized arms. just as he thought he made it out alive, he felt a stabbing pain in his thick muscular ankle. He couldn't tell if he was far enough from the Wetlander tyrant to make sure she didn't see this ignorant, petty move. He hobbled around a rock to sit down and slow his blood flow so it would take longer for the poison to run through his veins. He sighed miserably. Wishing he had the comfort of his mother around.

(Wetland)
"Not trying to cross the border?" Zara asked. For a moment she stood there, trying to calculate whether it was running after him was worth the exertion. She made up her mind. He was far too curious not to pursue.
She ran after him and was just close enough to see him get bitten by a snake and hobble away, sinking down to sit on a rock.
"Oh dear, are you alright?" she yelled, still running toward him but now cautiously watching the ground around her feet. This was, of course a stupid question. Of course he was not alright. But far more foolish things have been said in shock, so we must forgive her. "You've been bit!" she shouted. "Your poor foot."
She examined his leg, a tender expression overspreading her fearsome face.

( Wetlands- border between Marshes and Badlands )

Spruce saw the tyrant running at him. His first thought was that she was gonna kill him. He started to run half way hobbling and then fell. AGAIN. This time he heard her clearly." Are you alright? " she asked. He stared at her confused. " Your poor foot "
He was suprised to hear sympathy from a tribe who calls him a traitor. Surely she knew who he was, right? " Uuuhh" he choked " W-w-who are you? You must have me mistaken for someone else". Then all of a sudden it hit him like a Shellback's tail. All the irrational acts he made all of the ignorance. He felt foolish. He stared down at his foot. A feeling of dismay as he was slowly becoming light headed but not enough for him to pass out. I hope I get to see my sister before I die he thought although he wasn't sure if it was his time yet or not.

(Spoiler, It wasn't):wee
