roasted soybeans

The owners/managers of your store SUCK. If they're continually not getting enough feed to meet the demand, and having to ration how much an individual can buy, they're doing a really bad job. With people like that, I would seriously consider trying to meet a few of the other poultry people in your area and getting together to split deliveries of good feed. Honestly, in a situation like that, I might get angry enough to try and get a LOT of the poultry customers together to split pallets, just to stick it to the feed store.

Thanks, the all stock I get doesn't have molasses in it. Its a dry pellet. The feed store will not let us order feed or save any for anyone. They have a limit on how many bags we can buy in a day, so I'm stuck with the all stock for now. I could make the drive to buy it somewhere else but I really don't want to if I don't have to. I think I will try the soybeans for now and see how they like it.
:goodpost:I kinda hate to say this, but if that is the attitude you get, I'd be co-op ing with a few other local chicken wranglers. Get together and ltl it in, will save you a ton on shipping. Let alone if you can bank a whole load together. I
Save you being in Alaska or somewhere, we pay $9 for 16% here in OH, might even be worth renting a Uhaul. (I'm not saying come to Ohio, just somewhere there is competition)

Sounds like time to put together a business plan... There are feed companies out there that only deal with small distributors. Stay away from the big name companies but do some homework. Where's the nearest co op? Where are the grain elevators?

I could make a little more then a hour drive to a bigger feed store, everything else is about a 2 hour drive.
