I'll be honest, I didn't think I was going to be as excited as I am!
I mean, the whole concept / process is pretty amazing when you stop to think about it. I was talking to my mom last night. A friend at Church just had a baby and my mom was talking about how incredible a baby inside the belly is. I told her that I'm honestly more impressed by a chicken egg.
Think about it, it takes a human 9 months and they are getting all the good stuff to grow through a lifeline to their mom. A chicken egg: just 21 quick days is all it takes for a blob of goo and some heat and that goo is converted (again in just 21 days) to legs, toes, feathers, beak, brain, heart, etc. It boggles the mind!
So, this morning we woke up to a pip. It is just too amazing / cute to hear a tiny little chick announcing its entry into the world. Now I can truly empathize with all you hatching addicts.
Go chickie!! It is SO FUN to watch them hatch. It truly is amazing that it takes only 21 days to make a chick! Works out very well for us impatient people! We don't have to wait long!!

GQF makes hovabator but their business is about quail. I don't expect them to know about chickens. LOL Heck, even people answering the phone at hatcheries don't know much of anything about chickens.
