Rochester, Ny and Renting

Welcome I'm from Rochester as well I recently built one coop and now I'm building my second and third all from recycled materials. There are lots of places in the city that you can get materials from. Let me know if you have questions I also have a copy of the city code and license. Honestly if you build properly with minimal requirements like 4sqft per chicken it's really easy to the license, I would though fill out your paperwork at the clerks office so they can go over it and make sure all is filled out correctly, it's the same place where you get your dog license. I got my coop and placement of it approved and I don't have a fence yet though when the ground thaws building will start. You just can't have roosters, cows, cattle, and non-domesticated animals ie venamus snakes, tigers, and such. Good Luck!
