Rockford, Illinois!

My BCM rooster and Barred Rock hen created a nice black hen, which I named Chicken Little (she looked just like a barred rock female chick at hatch). I took 6 eggs from my hen Chicken Little and placed them into an incubator, hatch day was last Friday. I was expecting all chicks to hatch black, but instead here's what I got (so far)...

3 - that resemble a barred rock hen:

2 that are brown,,, any guesses what breed they could be? Obviously my BR and/or BCM roo are not pure. :)

1 that is total crazy looking....

Any guesses on what other mixes could be in my BCM x BR hen?

I am at my desk in downtown Rockford right now reading this forum. Otherwise I live outside of town about halfway between Byron and Winnebago. I am always looking to find other chicken enthusiasts in the area because you never know when it might come in handy and it's fun to meet new people, too.

Hi I'm pretty new to the site and googled Il and was excited to know there was a Rockford forum. I grew up in Rockford my whole life but about a year ago my family and I moved to a little homestead outside of German valley. This is my first time owning chickens, I have 2 lavender Orpingtons, 6 Rhode Island reds, 7 Black Sex ninks and a grumpy Barred Rock Rooster. They are all about 14 weeks now and it's been one heck of a journey.

I'm looking to add to my coop before fall hits. I am interested in maran, Orpingtons or Delawares. I'd prefer them to be around 14 week old pullets. Any one have some? I'm willing to drive for them. I'm looking for 3-4
