I never really thought the outcome would be a normal red chick.

Or Indigo? I know that is a dark purplish blue, but it's in the family.

Illia, I agree, that chick is a complete surprise, from her color to her comb. I wonder if she'll develop some lacing as she gets her adult plumage. That would be really cool!

Indigo is one I thought of for one of the girls, as was India (like India Blue Peacock). Thought of Berry for blueberry or just Audrey because it goes with Alice. I'm really considering Levi for the cockerel. He's a good sized boy, that one, already acting like a rooster, alarming, watching the skies, calling them to eat. Thought about reusing the name "Scout", who was my previous Ameraucana, though he was black.

I just love that little redhead!!! Levi is a good strong name- Alice Blue is cool- that shade of blue was a family favorite for my mother and aunt and cousin. I never could wear it- turned my skin yellow! Azure is another cool blue name-

Well, kathyinmo has named my BW cockerel! His name is now officially Levi. And the darker blue Rock pullet is named Neela, which means "dark blue". The red chick is Rita for HorseFeathers' hen she lost recently, also a redhead if I remember correctly. Is that okay, Olivia?
