Rocks, Ameraucanas Growing Up ( New pics post 85 @11.5 Weeks)

Here's Tiny. She is such a people-person, answers to her name (which is why we can't change it), runs to us from wherever she is when we call. Added pic of Levi and some of the others. They are going on 9 weeks old.

They're 9 weeks old now and I can't stop taking pics of Levi--he's so handsome! I'm happy Kathy sent that Ameraucana egg in with the blue Rocks!

Didn't get one of Alice because she wouldn't get off my lap, LOL. And Rita wouldn't raise her head or get far enough away from me for a picture, but she hasn't changed much since the last ones.

Tiny is growing continuously, though she is still small compared to the others. She actually flies up to the roost bar now rather than sleeping on the window ledge in the Firetower, so her eyes at least allow her to do that. Not sure how she'll be free ranging, though.

Oh, no, she learned to eat from the feeder at about five days old. When we put it in the red feeder, the contrast helped her to see it better and she began to catch on to what the others were doing. She's no trouble at all now.

**Plops down, out of breath from having ran all the way over from the "Tiny is eating thread" and drools over all of the pictures** Whew! Late to the party as usual, aren't I?

Cyn, I have got to send you some pics of that little EE I named Esther. She looks very much like your Rita except that Esther is already developing the muffs and just a trace of beard. ! And I've got another one that I'm pretty sure came from a RIR cross that looks so much like Rita that it's scary! So, I know what you mean about submitting pics of her to the breeds forum. I would have thought the same thing if you hadn't told me that she came out of a blue egg!

Now, aren't you glad that you didn't give up on Tiny? She's just too darn cute! And personality to go along with the cuteness! Can't beat that combination.

I know it's not always easy to deal with the special needs chicks. The Great Spirit didn't put enough hours in a day! But when all the hard work and perseverance results in someone like Tiny, well, that just makes it all worth it, doesn't it?
