Rocky Mountain Chickenstock raffle winners announced

Hey Shawn are their any feed stores in your neck of the woods that would sponsor. They could set up a booth and sell products maybe?

I think it would be fabulous to come to this! I am about 2 hrs or so North. Just depends on how farming is going at that point! Are you going to bring Icelandics?

Crud, I just remembered that I will probably be in D.C. at that time. I will have to check my calender for sure to find out when we leave.

ROLO, We have CAL Ranch here and I will be contacting them to see if they would be willing to be a sponsor. I have also sent inquiries to about 20 poultry related companies to see if they would be willing to sponsor and/or donate products to the event. We'll see who responds back and go from there.


Do we want to have a food vendor at the event? Anything else you would like to see included? We only have 111 days left till the big day!!

Great news!! We can now hold a raffle to raise money to cover the expenses of the event!! So far I have 3 great prizes confirmed.

Paul from Greenfire Farms and Jeff from Cackle Hatchery have both stepped up to the plate and donated gift certificates to use in the raffle. A great big thanks to both of them!!!!

So we have a dozen hatching eggs shipped express to the winner at their convenience from Greenfire Farms. The dozen will include Cream Legbars and other rare breeds from Greenfire's incredible selection.

We will also have 2 gift certificates from Cackle Hatchery that can be used on a future order.

Raffle tickets will be $1 each. No you do not have to be present to win and you can buy tickets even if you can't come to the Chickenstock!! Just mail me a check..

Wow great job Shawn. Are you planing to advertise this event outside of BYC and Facebook?

I'd like all the free advertising we can get anywhere... Everyone please feel free to give my contact information and links to this thread and the Facebook page to anyone who can help pass the word!! I don't know that we will be able to do much if any "paid" advertising simply because of the cost.... I'm open to suggestions though!!
