You do not have to be present to win and hatching eggs will be sent directly to you by the donors... PM me for instructions on payment or if you can read between the lines....

Wish I could attend, too many things going on this time of the year! Maybe next year! I would by raffle tickets, but I do not need anymore cihcks or eggs and with my luck that is what I would draw!

Here are the winners from the Raffle... I used a random number generator online to pick the winning tickets.. We had a great turnout (around 300) gave away 200 chicks to 4H kids and everyone had a good time.. Matthew B. a local 9 year old (almost 10) 4Her won the Greenfire eggs. I'll post pictures later but right now I need to go feed everything before dark... I'll be contacting winners individually with instructions on claiming prizes so please be patient as there are a lot of you!! Thanks everyone for the support!!

Here's Matthew holding one of his free 4H chicks... This lucky young man won the Greenfire Farms eggs.



Here are a few pictures of some BYC folks that showed up.. and some of the Showing Poultry class.. I wasn't able to take as many pictures as I had planned as I kept pretty busy handing out chicks, talking to people and making new friends.. Next year we'll make an assignment and have a event photographer with no other duties!!

On another note...I'm new to chickens, BYC, and to Idaho Falls area. I noticed Big Sky Organic Feed was available/advertised at Chickenstock yesterday. Can anyone tell me if I can buy that in a store locally? Or where else is best that I might be able to get organic feed in town (or within an hour's drive?) and other chicken supplies. I know about CAL Ranch but that's all. Thanks!

welcome to BYC. We are in Blackfoot,are kids had a great time there yesterday ad well. The classes were very informative and presented very well for small kids. As far as the organic feed, I seen someone selling it locally on Craigslist.
Dawn tells me we won the eggs from Gary Farms, but until we are notified,not completely sure. We only use the phone so we can't read the winners list yet.

Thanks so much for the fun day Shawn!! And thanks Bonnie for the gorgeous blue orp cockrel & pullet, sexlink and EE!! I have some great variety in my little flock now. And big thanks for the fun little chicks for my kiddos, they were super excited to be able to take some home (we already had 2 bantam chicks). Time to get a house in the country so I can keep them all, othewise some will have to find new homes this fall... BTW, can anyone tell me what kind of chick the black one in the back of the pic is??
