Hello again, I've been busy preparing for cold weather and stuff so I haven't been on that much and when I am on I only go on my subscriptions that are near the top because I have so many

Hey, it's totally fine. Yeah I haven't abandoned the thread, just don't have a lot if time to be on it. But it's good to hear from you again. That's pretty good, mine are doing fairly well, I had a silkie hen hatch out a silkie chick( not hers) so that's been exciting

Congratulations on your new silkie chick. I had a hen go broody a few days ago but she was only broody for like a day or two.

Thanks. Hmm it's late in the year for that, but I guess she doesn't care about that lol. But at least she broke herself from the broodiness.

When i had a rooster one of my hens became broody in the middle of winter and had 3 chicks. I guess my chicken didnt care either.

Haha that's funny. I personally wouldn't like to have chicks in mid winter, but hey the hen does most of the work at keeping them warm, so it's not that big of a deal I guess lol.
