Rolled oats ? They won't eat it

That's what I'm saying. All of the oats I listed are in fact oatmeal that are routinely cooked for humans. You're thinking specifically of instant/rolled oats, which are just one form of oats people eat. I make a big batch of steel cut oats every week in my pressure cooker.

That isn't what I have, the "rolled oats" they sell at the feed store look like oat grains (right side of image) that got stepped on. The husk is still on them. Steel Cut oats are chopped, the rolled oats that make oatmeal flakes are steamed and crushed (several minutes of steam so they are partially cooked)

If I can't make a palatable porridge, then I will bring them to a place I know white tailed deer visit and give them to the people there who feed them. It will be a hard winter this year, maybe this will have helped some survive.
