can I mix in rolled oats with my starter feed and give to my chickens? My chickens are 8-10 weeks old.

Thanks.

I'm surprised you have chicks that old on starter still. What does the bag say? Usually you switch to grower at 4-6 weeks old, or better yet use a feed for all ages.

Rolled oats should be fine. My chickens enjoy them. It shouldn't be the main part of their diet but a few is good.

We read that, went to our local C Store and asked for grower feed. The guy there said the feed that he gave us is good up until when they lay. On the back it says Starter Grower and mentions that once they hit 18 weeks to switch.

We were going to mix the rolled oats in with the feed.

I don't know... lol.

Ok, then I guess just feed them that until they start laying.

Sounds good!

Our first bag of feed was a grower/starter this way they could eat it longer then just a starter feed
