rolling around in the dirt??

    It is so cute to watch them, but when they are babies dust bathing in their brooder box inside the's messy and dusty. I love to watch mine sun bath and dust outside. Don't they sometimes look dead.
    Yep, my turkey takes her dust baths along with the chickens. She's so much bigger, she'll move them all out of her way to get a good spot.

    New chicken lover: So my chicks are 4 weeks old. They are in the garage - due to lots of snow (still do not have my coop finished) However, they are in a "make-shift" kennel. Can I give them a box of dirt to roll around in?? Also when can I give them scraps?

    Yes, you could have giving them a box of dirt from the first week. They can have scraps, chop them up a little and give them a grit to grind them up with.
