" silver" he said kindly, ears forward and head tilted slightly," I love you" he admitted softly, looking into her eyes. He hoped that he wasn't messing it up, their friendship and all.

“Brutus.” She smiled “I love you too, but just as friends.” Silver was interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with him but she was trying to figure everything in her life out and romance just wasn’t a part of it at the moment. Silver felt awful for hurting him and it hurt her as well because she wanted him as her mate but she wanted to sort her life out a bit further first.

Brutus stood up slowly, barely breathing, he turned his head. His ears layed back, he felt like all he'd hoped for, all he dreamed of had been decimated....
" I....I .. Have to go.." he said as kindly as he possibly could at the moment. He swallowed hard and headed for his den, his head wasn't held as high as before.

She nodded “Brutus” she stood up quickly “we are still friends right?”
