Roo becoming aggressive

I bet its the chicks he's steamed about...anything new can upset the calm.
I try not to handle cockerels much once they show their gender, and especially once they become mature.
Except for occasional hand feeding, I leave them alone and they leave me alone.
You being upset because he's upset could be a vicious circle....they can sense our anger, fear and anxiety and it can make them nervous.

When he has gone towards me in a way when I had chick in my hand I put the chick on his coop and told jaxx -no! Not yelling just firmly. Then softly said it's ok jaxx. Lol. He seemed like he relaxed when I said those to him tho. It prob is those chicks but I have no choice but to put them withing the coop. I need to add on to it. Have seperate coops for all of them. Although even when the chicks have not been inside he does seem skittish or like he is lookin. For somethig. Idk maybe a predator like the crows that come around bothered him. When they do he really gets perky and alert.

Ok.

. Thank you hopefully won't find anything. But sure will look

I have a beautiful rooster mixed breed who is mean to one small hen and always chases her and pecks her. Now he has started pecking me on my legs when I am not looking. It really hurts! I Hate to get rid of him but I can't be afraid of him. He has plenty of hens to mate with. He free range all day, with hens and locked up at night. What do I do?

Does he mean full peck you? Mine will peck at me but I think only curious does t hurt. Like my rings or phone in pocket sometimes my toes cuz of color on nails I think lol.
