Just looking to confirm my suspicions that this is a roo before I give him away. 3 months - French Barbezieux mixed with an unknown hen that my broody hatched. Thanks!

At 3 months old, eh? 🤔

Well, looked up the French Barbezieux at 3 months by genders, looked at the wattles on both...

I'm leaning pullet.

The breed does have so much comb which is why I'm a little hesitant. This one's half sibling I'm nearly positive is a pullet. Pretty much no comb whatsoever. This one's also significantly bigger than her too.

Found this breed - not mixed- at 3 months. These are the cockerels... 😆 36635044-7371-4C33-8091-2C50F1931675.jpeg

And these- the Pullets... 😏

I don't think your's has as much as these pullets do- and I would ASSUME whatever they are mixed with, that they wouldn't be as comb and wattle heavy...

BUT... the wattle on the pulley gets so big, she wears it like a hat 😆 No doubt - these chicks will be sporting fancy headwear-

Cockerels- in pic from the next time from- had development like a mature lefhorn! 😳

Seriously, I wouldn't rule em out as cockerels just yet.
😆

My pure Barbe roo had noticeably more colour at 3 months, and a slimmer figure

so I'd be inclined to wait a little bit longer.
