Roo crowing

Quote:
Oh, I like hearing him! His name is actually Carl, he's just one of the full grown members of the flock I refer to as Big Chickens, since I have Middles and Littles and Chicks. Carl started practicing to crow around 13 weeks, but got a good crow on, finally, around 16 weeks. I recorded it and use it as the ring tone for my OFFICE phone. Hehehehehehehe. The guy in the next cubicle over has his dog barking for HIS phone. We certainly know who isn't answering our calls! Well, between the two of us... everybody else has the plain old ring, although they could personalize it if they wanted to do so.

The only time I am less than pleased with Carl's crow is when he does it RIGHT NEXT TO ME and I'm on my cell phone in the yard. He ONLY does that when I get calls, not when I make them; I've paid attention. Could be because it's always one friend, and the ring tone for her is the sound of the tree frogs in my ponds at night. Maybe Carl reacts to "tree frog chorus" when they should only be doing that at dusk or in the dark.

I'll just have to wait to see..... errr... hear AND see who the newest crowing Little rooster is.
