Roo gone...flock disoriented

Hi...I read this thread and felt dismayed. I am one that bought chicks at a feed store knowing full well I can't keep roosters. If I lived on a farm it would be different. We have ten now because two were definitely roosters. I am still questioning two, but they aren't crowing. I personally knew I couldn't cull my babies. Yes I love them, but I also know how hard it is to give them to people. So we get milk from the Amish, and she is a lovely lady. She said she would trade me chicken noodle soup canned for my roosters. Well, her husband made friends with my roosters. He was real intrigued with how tame they are. They have a 2000 sq ft pole barn just for those two...ROFLOL. They have two flocks..one free ranges during the day and one at night and they have 700 chicks to divide between the two. All of that to say that He loves my roosters and they will each get a flock of hens. His grandchildren play with them. My heart was so warmed. She has invited me for when they cull 300 hens so I can learn about it. I think I will so I can see and it won't be mine. That is my story, I think you that can cull your own are amazing, responsible, I envy your courage. I am excited to learn how. We have ten children so I want to be able to provide meat birds for my kids.
