Ok as all of us silkie owners know how fun (not) it is to try to sex our silkies. Soooooo here’s one for all of you. 5 months old and every day my mind changes. Today I’m thinking roo. No crowing or egg laying yet lol and of course no “typical” roo stance, behavior etc....

What a beautiful bird! ❤️ Blue Splash is my favorite color!
My initial guess is Pullet. It doesn’t have streamers on its head and I don’t see any wattle development. Silkies are tough to sex, but I am really leaning towards Pullet! :fl
Best wishes and Be well!

Thank you! He/she really is pretty and such a nice bird. That was my thought last week lol. I’m watching the waddles and head for streamers closely which I would think would have started to develop by now. But I’ve owned silkies for years and they always surprise me lol I’m hoping pullet since that’s what I wanted!!!!!!! My current roo jack was supposedly a black pullet lol until at literally 8 months old he finally decided to be a he and crowed
thank you and be safe!
