We're not sure. We have a few other chickens, so we cannot really tell who lays which eggs.

I've not tried it, but I've been told that when you need to know which hen laid which eggs there are several ways to do it.

First, isolate the hen somehow -- in a dog crate, in a separate coop, etc.

Second, drip some food coloring into her vent.

Third, use a trap nest (but only if you can check nests very often so she's not stuck in there too long).

Where? I want to see, this bird is perplexing.

On the second picture (I can't edit photos on my phone because the latest update ruined it) but right in the center you can see a slightly pointy feather-just an inch or so to the right of the tail

he/she looks like a rooster but also kind of looks like a hen,

i wonder if it might be a hen who has turned into a rooster, one of my friends has one, and he/she still looks like a hen, but has some rooster things about him/her to,
but she/he cant fertilise eggs, so there kind of pointless (unless you just want a weird chicken )

i would check the eggs for fertility, just in case he/she is just a weird looking rooster,

Hard to tell a rooster or hen. Do you have any other pictures - Any other australorp roosters or hens to compare too?
Curious, how do check the eggs for fertility?
