We got these two sapphire gems a week or so ago and were told they are both female. I’m pretty skeptical though.. any thoughts?

So, you cannot wing sex chicks unless a hybrid chicken is bred specifically for it. But good news!
Sapphire gems are actually a cross made specially to be sexable by color as chicks. The males have a white dot on their head and grow up to be barred (vaguely striped with white/light gray). The females are a solid gray.
This means you have two girls!
Sorry. Just looked closer. Second one has the dot on the head and barred wings. That's a boy.

Does the second have a dot too?
Won't be a bold or clear one but if there's white on the top of its head, that's another boy.

I got some better pictures. We’ve never had sapphire gems before so I’m not sure how to properly sex them😅

Honestly, though SG’s are supposed to be autosexing, these guys are really hard to tell. Hopefully they are girls, but I don’t feel sure. If you update in a couple weeks, it’ll be clearer then.
