I bet your pullet doesn't have saddle feathers

Pullets do have saddle feathers - the difference is that the saddle feathers on a pullet are rounded while the saddle feathers on a rooster are pointed.

The chicken in question doesn't have 'pointed' saddle feathers. They may still develop in the next few weeks, but as of right now (at least when the photo was taken), it still has rounded saddle feathers. So far, the saddle feathers on this chick do not point to roo (which is why I'm still up in the air as to what sex it is). I need a close-up of the comb before I can give my final answer.

If you want to get technical, It called a "cushion". Hens Don't have a saddle.

Well... I don't know if they have a saddle or not, but they do have saddle feathers.

This is a quote from the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences website:

"By observing the Hackle (neck) and Saddle (back) feathers of an adult chicken, you can determine its sex. Male hackle and saddle feathers come to a distinctly pointed tip and are shinier. Female hackle and saddle feathers have rounded ends."
